Question Box
・When are we active?
We are usually active when there is an even coming up. We do have a meeting/place available for practice once every week, but it is free and not mandatory at all.
・What kind of instruments do we accept?
We currently have a few of violin, cello, flute, clarinet, and piano. However, SCO will accept anyone interested regardless of instruments.
・Can beginners join?
We accept anyone who is interested. We have members who are beginners as well as those who have been playing since they were young.
・Do you need your own instruments to join?
We sadly don't have any instruments at hand that we can lend. If you are planning on joining, it would be great if you had an instrument. If not, please contact us and we may be able to help you to get a instrument.
・Do we have a practice program for beginners?
We mainly practice individually, and read scores ourselves. We do not have any programs for instruments, but others who play the same instrument may be able to help.
・Is there a club fee?
We currently collect a ¥1000 per semester. As we are starting from ground up again, we do not have much idea on how much it costs overall, so this fee may rise. We will try to solidify the number as we gain more knowledge.
・Can students from other universities join?
We welcome anyone who is willing to join.
・Can students from other universities use practice rooms outside of the set dates?
If we are able to reserve a room for that time, anyone can come and use the room.
・Can I join multiple clubs?
We normally don't have much to do when there are no events, so it is ok to be in multiple clubs. Most of our members are in multiple clubs.
・Can I join even though I didn't attend the freshman-week?
We welcome new members throughout the year. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us through the form on this website, or the socials.
